Through a series of in-person and online public events, our team gathered input from the San Mateo community to shape the future of Hillsdale Shopping Center. I supported this work with communications coordination and execution.

Communications Management
To reach a broad cross-section of the community and ensure a high turnout at our events, it was necessary to get the word out via many different channels. I helped to plan, track, and build out a set of communications which included website updates, social media posts, emails, printed mailers, posters, display ads, and Eventbrite listings.
Workshop Design
To collect meaningful feedback from the community at our engagement events, we developed presentations, online surveys, and in-person workshop activities. I helped with workshop design (both prompts and graphics), facilitation and synthesis.
Content Writing & Graphic Design
My contribution to creative for the project included both writing and graphic design support. Having the opportunity to influence both in tandem allows me to maximize clarity and beauty of my work.
Team:
I was part of Gehl's urban design and community engagement team. I helped manage communications, collaborate with agency partners, and develop written content and graphics for the project. The team provided support with urban design expertise, illustration and graphic design.
